She Talks in Colors: "Competent Electronica", Overall Rating = 72%
A nice, slow, meandering track, which is punctuated by a few moments of harshness. The doubled up vocal is too excessive (they clash too much, more unity required). Production is generally good, though the individual levels are a touch off (cymbals are too loud, for example). A good example of less is more. A little less of the vocals and the cymbal crashes would do a lot to improve this still enjoyable track.
Hurelegeht? (What's Up?): "Original and Exciting", Overall Rating = 77%
Excitement and pace perforate this eclectic track, which includes a particularly nice piano breakdown. The vocal style is typical of free e electrons, though it really comes in to its own on this track, sitting perfectly in the arrangement. Very competent production, original melody and and good movement in the composition round off this original track.
Tres Diabolique: "4 Bars into 4 Minutes", Overall Rating = 56%
A steadfast baseline over a drum n bass style drum loop provides the meat in this sandwich, with a meandering vocal line providing the interest. However the base riff does not change at all throughout, making this track a bit long. Vocals provide the usual bitter sweet combination of legato key-missing yet an unexpected interest and excitement. Works well as background music.
Lover, Now!: "Average Track with a Few Sprinkles of Interest and Innovation", Overall Rating = 67% The legato style vocals are a touch awkward though work well in places. Being lagato means (too often) the notes arent being hit properly. Composition wise the track moves along competently, though there is no real excitement or innovation. Some key changes are a little more extreme than you'd expect from a trance track. Production and recording is very clear, with a reasonably well chosen sound set.
